No More Joe?!?

Alrighty, so we have all read or heard about how Joe gave me the "M" for a qualitative leader rating, right? I have an update that is rather odd, at least in my opinion.

I get back to work yesterday from my vacation and Vonda hollers hello to me from her office. I backtrack and wish her a good morning (okay, so it is really one in the afternoon but who is counting). She asked how my time off was and I told it was great but I needed a day of vacation to recover from my vacation. She laughed and asked how things were on the team. My smile faded a bit and I told her that I was still trying to come to peace with whole leader rating. She smiled and told me to hang in there and be patient - it was being investigated and would all work itself out. I smiled back because Vonda is the sweetest person I have ever met and wished her a good rest of her day.

After I got set up and it was time to log in - Joe came around and asked everyone to put themselves in "meeting" when the call we were on was completed. When everyone was finished we gathered around Console 34 for the news. He thanked us all for our hard work and congratulated us for being #1 in Dining and Air for two weeks that month. Vonda had bought us all pizza as a thank you but she had a meeting she needed to step into and couldn't join us. Then Joe looked a little sheepish and stated that change is good and reminded us how things are always changing at DRC (Disney Reservation Center)... as of Sunday he would no longer be our leader because he was being reassigned to another task. He wasn't sure which opportunity he was going to take - weighing options and such - but he would always be available via email. My entire team wigged out since they don't handle change well at all. I have already been through five leaders in my Disney career so it wasn't that big of a deal to me.

Odd how all of that happens - not sure if I had anything to do with it but still very interesting developments in one short week.

Change is great - I love it. Keeps things fresh and new.

I just found out tonight from Derek that his leader TA (temporary assignment) ran out so Joe will probably be going back to IP on the floor as an agent.

Not real sure why they didn't push it but I did something bold.. I'll post something on it tomorrow.
