My mom has always been very crafty and talented - which explains where Dani gets her artistic ability from since we all know it isn't me. This is her latest quilt that she made for her bed.
Dani and I got to lay out all the pieces on the dining room floor so I guess that counts as helping. The majority of her work she gives away though. Now every member of our house has a homemade quilt on their bed. I have a Winnie the Pooh quilt in pinks and blues which I love. Sami has a Disney Princess quilt with different material squares on the back (she loves the silky ones best). Dani has one that looks like oriental kimonos on it. Even the cat has a square that looks like a cat hanging out of her bed.
Her quilts are far superior to those you can get in the store for one simple reason - my Mommy made it!

This is beautiful!!! I may have to hire her... I've always wanted to make a quilt, but I don't have the extra space... to work on one ;l)
If you know the square you like along with the colors and size - let me know and I'll pass it on to her.
She's always got one going and another one brewing!
I've always wanted one of those, I think it's called, postage stamp quilts. It's just a lot of small squares. I also like those ones that are thin rectangles, horizontally. Colors... let's see... greens, blues, browns. Stuff like that. Ask her how much she would charge to do one for a queen size bed. That would make a great gift for someone I know ;o)
