Dani got that in Japan, over in Epcot. She is really into the Asian artwork and does a great job at it herself. The animation side especially though she has begun to work in the watercolors using their techniques.
I know - I keep asking her to scan it in and then email it to me (from downstairs, how sad is that). I think when she starts school on Tuesday I will do it myself.
You will be amazed that it was done by a 13 year old - I swear... not that I am a proud mama or anything. ;o)
She gets it honestly... you were always drawing in class ;o) Even algebra... and you still passed with flying colors. Yes, Dani... no matter what your mama tells you, she drew in class!!!
I never told her I didn't draw in class - but the difference is my grades verses her grades. You can draw anything you want if you still get good grades.
We have difficulties in Math and Science. At least this year she has an art class for her outlet along with a Computer class so I hope her grades jump up to where I know they can be.
When they do the FCAT (standardized test for the state) she scores way way way above average for the reading comprehension sections but equally below for the math section... makes a mama worry some.
I think it's an artist thing... I really do. I was always bad at math... it was the hardest subject for me. They have done studies and most of the great artist of the world were bad at math and/or were dyslxic... like me. Learned something new today, didn't ya? I'm mildly dyslixic, but in elementary school... it was really hard. Don't feel so bad about it now, knowing that a lot of artist are that way. I wonder why?
Nope, I already knew that one. You told me YEARRRRRRS ago... around the same time you dressed up Daddy's sailor suit...LOL! Have no idea why I just remembered that but I did - good times.

You'll have to post some of her art work.
